Our mission at Two Rivers: To nurture a diverse group of students to become life-long active participants in their own education, develop a sense of self and community, and become responsible and compassionate members of society.
Two Rivers is a network of high-performing public charter schools located on two campuses in northeast Washington, DC. We were one of the first schools in the nation to be credentialed by EL Education, and to this day our approach to teaching, learning, and community-building is oriented around curiosity, exploration, critical thinking, and education of the whole child.
Two Rivers was founded in 2003 by more than three dozen parents from the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Today, we proudly serve a diverse community of more than 1,000 students and their families.
