Character

As an EL Education school, Two Rivers believes that we are only successful when we prepare the whole child. Students leaving Two Rivers should possess character skills, which EL Education defines as working to become an effective learner and ethical person and contributing to the world around them to improve communities.

What This Means at Two Rivers

At Two Rivers, we explicitly teach character through the Scholarly Habits. We have developed these Scholarly Habits in alignment with the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) competencies for social emotional learning.

Rubrics for the Scholarly Habits

To support building the Scholarly Habits, we’ve developed rubrics at different grade levels.
